

Nature Photography After Dark
A winter night hike at Durand Eastman Park, Rochester, NY; brings some of the greatest finds, frozen in place by winter winds, a photographic study of artificial lighting with a flashlight :) A simple way to add interest to everyday nature photography scenes using a light source to isolate the subject against the background. I used a tripod and a depth of field of f/22 to create these images for optimal detail contrast.


A Little Early Christmas Present!
The night before Christmas Dad went shopping for a little Christmas miracle arrived early... At just 2 weeks new, Joseph has already brought lots of joy to his family and all he wants to be is like Dad someday!! His little Santa hat was a gift from the hospital staff and fit in perfectly for our Holiday themed Newborn portrait session.


Adirondack Mountain Sunrise
A beautiful sunrise photo over Mount Algonquin in Lake Placid, NY before we hiked to the summit. It felt as cold as the recent polar vortex with drifting snow and wind hiking up toward the top of the summit. The trees were layered in shells of ice and the winter storm had made for some spectacular photos and views along the way.
