Adirondack Mountain Sunrise

A beautiful sunrise photo over Mount Algonquin in Lake Placid, NY before we hiked to the summit. It felt as cold as the recent polar vortex with drifting snow and wind hiking up toward the top of the summit. The trees were layered in shells of ice and the winter storm had made for some spectacular photos and views along the way. Nature photography has always been the adventure of sight seeing for me, a way to focus in on what is around my backyard, in the woods.. or down the next hiking path.
